Annapurna Base camp Trek – 11 Days Overview

Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Trek is deservedly one of the best hikesinto the dazzling amphitheater formed by staggeringly beautiful peaks of Annapurna massif. The 10th highest peak in the world—Annapurna (8091m) is the first 8000 meter peak ever summited.Annapurna Base Camp has only one entrance per se, but we follow locally known but lesser used approach to make this trip relatively short yet more than memorable. Annapurna Base Camp Trek takes you through some of the culturally rich Gurung villages like Landruk, Ghandruk, and Chhomrong.

Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) is another highlight of this trek. Annapurna Conservation Area has protected some of the endangered species of flora and fauna.

Ascending through the local villages and beautifully terraced farmlands in the alpine ambience, Annapurna Base Camp offers you a peerless option to go for a typical hike into one of world’s most beautiful mountain ranges.

The trip starts with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara by tourist bus. Also known as the city of temples, Kathmandu offers you scores of cultural and religious heritages to explore. Pokhara is known among the tourists as one of the most beautiful and naturally blessed cities of Nepal. From Pokhara, we take private cars to drive to Nayapul from where our actual trek begins. Passing Nayapul, we trek to Birethanti for overnight stay. Enjoying the wonderful hot spring at Jhinu Danda,we make our way over Machhapuchchhre Base Camp, and then to Annapurna Base Camp. ABC offers you the striking close-up views of Annapurna range and a dazzling Annapurna Glacier as well. On the way back from ABC, we can get to explore wonderful places like Bamboo, Landruk, and Pothana. From Phedi, we once again use private cars for a drive to Pokhara. We drive back to Kathmandu via Tourist Bus, marking the end of our ABC Trip.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek is going to be one of the most scenic trips in Nepal for sure. Family Adventure Treks & Expedition has a team of experienced guides that can lead you through the Nepal’s rural landscapes offering you the typicalNepalese experience.
