Helambu Circuit Trekking Overview

Helambu Circuit trekking will captivate the hearts of those who are in love with Mother Nature. This benchmark hotspot attracts globe trekkers from most parts of the planet. The Langtang region is home too much of the most beautiful landscapes known in the Asian continent & the wonderful climatic balance warms the hearts of most trekkers heading to this region. Helambu is also wonderfully close-up to the ancient Kathmandu valley and many backpackers are simply amazed with the beauty hereabouts & the thought of its near proximity with the chaos that is Kathmandu these days makes this region the first choice for backpackers from all over the world.

Helambu is an annex from north of Taramarang to the high altitudes above the tree-lines of the Gosainkunda Lake and the lower slopes of silvery Jugal Himal. This is where we casually hike into a few highland Tamang and Sherpa villages teeming with life, spread out on both sides of the Malemchi Khola [river]. We haul up down here for sometime to strike up conversations with the congenial local folks and share some milk or tea with them. The ethnic tribes of this region are truly friendly & make visitors feel so much at home…

There is no physical stress in this trek which begins from the north corner of the capital city Kathmandu. The main highlights of this zone are much in its socio-cultural and varied physical features. The Helambu trek is a short & at ease on the body (ideal for families) adventure, and can be done anytime of the year except in the monsoons. January – February is the most beautiful time to visit this area. Helambu, situated in the middle-hills of the southern buffer of the Langtang National Park, is an exploratory center of Tibetan Buddhism. The Yolmo and Tamang communities display a rich cultural heritage with customary celebrations, fascinating cultural dances and the warm and pleasant generosity is a part of their own traditions which go back to medieval times. Family Adventure Treks and Expeditions will escort you on the lovely trails of this region and we will show you some extraordinary spots on your journey which others will just lazily pass by…check us out at: www.nepaltrekkingtour.com for any additional information you may need on this trip or simply contact: ARJUN BRO [BUDAON CELL: 9841-244957…he will plan your trip perfectly…
