Annapurna Base Camp Trek 16 Days Overview

This is a combo trip where the toughness of Himalayan hiking is made easy as we walk amidst regal scenery and green hamlets that makes the trek a joy as we head down to the Annapurna Base Camp which is also well known as the ‘Annapurna Sanctuary’’ trek.

The Annapurna Base Camp venture is a trademark trip which is sought all over the world by lovers of the wilderness. It is one of Nepal’s most loved trekking destinations; this trek is teasingly challenging to the extent that you’d love it, especially if you are a greenhorn. It is a more moderate venture of immense proportions as we hike the elevations to the Annapurna Base Camp at (4200m) walking through gorgeous lush surrounding of the Annapurna Sanctuary, a mountainous amphitheater of spectacular peaks that leave us amazed to the bone…

A highly scenic trail where the landscapes and the natural ecosystems are a treat for those who love nature for what it is, the Annapurna Base camp trek is a wonderful integration of culture with an interesting mix of communities that include the Gurungs and Magars that make up most of the population on this trail where interactions with the local folks who live in colorful villages give us a lot of insights into their rich traditions and lifestyles, putting more zest into our trekking holidays; the high peaks of the Annapurna range as we reach base camp is a lifetime memory of the stunning views that we get of Mt. Annapurna 1, Annapurna III at 7555m, Gangapurna at 7454m, Machhapuchre at 6999m, Lamjung himal at 6986m and the Dhaulagiri at 8167m with several more famous peaks leave us awestruck at the might of these mountains as we think of the many expeditions that were successful on these peaks.

Our trek starts from Nayapul after we stroll around the beautiful valley of lakes that we know as Pokhara. We soon hit the trails from the foothills of ABC as we hike through lively villages with cultivated terraces and observe the local folks singing romantic local bards going about happily with their agricultural chores attired in red saris and cows splattered with vermilion on the heads. Cows are revered animals in Nepal. The trail climbs gently by the banks of the Modi River, and we witness gently gushing waterfalls and sublime rhododendron forests, home to some of the rarest birds on the planet. The trek is a wonderful experience that blends the natural beauty of nature, and a friendly cultural welcome in the kind of wilderness you will rarely find anywhere else. Family Adventure Treks will be your ideal partner for a special holiday of this kind…
